About me

I have been helping folks with their dogs for more than 15 years, but have been a dog lover since getting my first family dog at the age of 6.  I started taking care of pets for vacationing friends and neighbors at a young age.  I attended Animal Behavior College and became certified in basic dog obedience.  My start in training began by teaching puppy and basic obedience classes at Petco.  Several years later they implemented their own training program for dog trainers and I completed that as well.  I have and continue to attend seminars put on by different trainers and read a lot of books on training techniques.  This allows me to have a wide variety of knowledge as well as hands on learning from the many dogs I have trained.  I use all of my knowledge and experience to build a custom training program best fitted to you and your dog.  I also volunteered at two local shelters while living  in Cranberry Township, PA,  working to help dogs become more adoptable.  I am the neighborhood dog person, seen everyday walking dogs, mine and sometimes others. 

In 2012, along with a good friend, I started a new dog daycare, boarding, training and grooming business in Cranberry Township, PA –

5^th Avenue Fido.  We were not happy with the choices available in the area for dog boarding, so we opened 5^th Avenue Fido, a luxury facility with themed cottages and lots of play time and staff interaction.  Dogs also come for daycare for socialization and exercise.

I have now returned to what I love, working directly with owners and dogs to build great relationships. I have sold my share of the daycare business so I can devote 100% of my time to my passion,  personal, custom dog training and consultations.  As of Jan 2018, I have moved to Mesquite, NV where I continue to train dogs and have worked with many dogs and owners to date.  

I am certified by the AKC to train and test for Star Puppy and Canine Good Citizen certifications.  These provide  your dog with recognition as good canine citizens in the community, and are the foundation for a good therapy dog.
